Experience a lakeside retreat only minutes from the Atlantic Ocean on Nova Scotia's beautiful Eastern Shore. Our AAA/CAA 3 Diamond and Canada Select 41/2 Star rated Bed and Breakfast is situated just one minute off the Marine Drive, Nova Scotia's Seacoast Trail. At The Elephant's Nest B&B you can experience the best of both worlds; we are - "In the country, yet so close to the City". Within 20 minutes drive we have Martinique Beach - the longest sandy ocean beach in Nova Scotia; the Trans-Canada Trail and wilderness trails at Musquodoboit Harbour; great bird watching areas, surfing beaches, lake and river kayaking, lake and river fishing, some great golf courses and wonderful photographic opportunities.

A short drive of only 38 km (24 miles) will see you right downtown in the historic city of Halifax - about a 40 minute drive. Culture, entertainment, nightlife, great music and a plethora of fine dining experiences await you. There are some great museums, wonderful theatres and of course... The Metro Centre, home of the renowned International Tattoo and many other great events. At the end of your busy day, come home to "The Nest" and relax, meet other guests and exchange your experiences.

The Elephant's Nest B&B can be reached from the Halifax International Airport in just 40 minutes - it is 58km (36 miles). Driving directions
From the West
(Halifax / Dartmouth / South Shore)
Follow Highway 107 to exit 21

Turn left at top of ramp and drive north to highway 7

Turn right and drive about 2kms (1.2 miles) to Pinehill Drive. (The road is just above Gaetz Brook on the map.)

Turn right onto Pinehill and proceed 1km (0.6 mile) to Pleasant Drive

Follow Marine Drive (Highway #7) through Musquodoboit Harbour
Continue on Highway #7 for approximately 6 kms (3.6 miles)
Turn left on Pinehill Drive and left again on Pleasant Drive
