We are 45 minutes away from world renown Algonquin Park, 2.5 hours north of Toronto and 4 hours from Ottawa. The Haliburton region of Ontario is a great winter experience. Our style at Carmelita By the Lake is that of a Boutique Hotel, with more special services, intimacy and privacy that rivals that of any high end hotel/resort. We provide our guest the ability to have us cater to them by offering the services of a Bed and Breakfast or renting the entire property for your own.
Featuring our most grand and luxurious suite, The Bogart Loft, with its private ensuite with Jacuzzi tub built for two(no shower), sitting area with fireplace and TV. There are five additional guest suites with there own style of luxury for the cottage rental.
We cater to engagements, honeymoons, romantic weekend escapes, anniversaries, girl's weekend or just a desired getaways as well as extended vacation. We also provide you the ability to rent the entire property and enjoy it on your own.
Relax by the wood-burning fireplace in the Guest Lounge, enjoy a lakefront swim in pristine Maple Lake, or tour the lake in our paddle boats during the summer.
The Therapeutic Hot Tub on our outdoor deck looks directly onto Maple Lake. You will be amazed at the stars in the country. Each suite have bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer, clock radio with CD player. The Bogart Loft and The Grotto also comes with TV. Our guests have complimentary use of bicycles and paddleboats. We are close to ski hills, lots of hiking and snowmobile trails.

Rental Policies
50% at time of booking. No refund of deposit if cancelled within 14 days for B&B. No refund for cottage rental.
We require a 50% deposit at time of booking. We require a minimum stay of 2 nights during high season, 3 nights on long weekends for B&B. Weekly rentals for cottage
