Built in 1891 as a doctor's home and office, Wiggit Hall later became the Notre Dame Convent and schoolroom. Newly restored as a guesthouse we welcome guests to relax in one of our three unique rooms, each feature ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning, original windows, high ceilings. This Victorian styled home has always provided a warm welcome to an array of visitors and in keeping with this tradition, we invite you to experience Wiggit Hall's old-world style and to explore the picturesque village of Elora with it's marvelous surrounding countryside. Wiggit Hall is just a short walk to the many wonderful shops, restaurants, events and the Elora gorge.
William's Room
Decorated in classic shades of taupe and aubergine. It has a queen sized bed, small writing desk and a chaise lounge sitting area framed by tall bay windows with beautiful original wood trim. The spacious ensuite includes a large marble tiled shower, the original claw-foot soaking tub and two pedestal sinks.
A single bed can be set up for an additional guest.
Florence's Room
A king bed that converts into two extra long single beds make this room perfect for friends travelling together. Peacefully decorated in soothing green with buttery yellow and a bit of pink. It's large windows offer a terrific view of the neighbouring historic homes. The ensuite is a quaint water closet with a terrazzo shower at one end and a high-seated toilet at the other; the basin style sink on a washstand is just outside the bathroom door in the bedroom.
Marion's Room
Sweet, bright and airy, this small yet nicely appointed room has two single antique spindle beds which are adorned with French styled quilts. The small but private three-piece ensuite with heated tile floor provides old world ambiance and modern practicality. This room is a cozy retreat. |

Each of our private rooms offer individually controlled air conditioning and ensuite bathroom. Thick towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap and a hairdryer are provided for your convenience and each room has: an alarm clock radio, extra pillow and blanket, drinking glasses, stationery and pen, deck of cards, books, and a cork screw.
An additional single bed can be added to either Florence or Williams Room for another additional cost of $35.
All of our rooms are located on the second floor of the house so please be aware that you will have stairs to climb.
Policies:
Children: Out of respect for other guests please ask us before booking.
Pets: Walking in and around Elora with your dog would be idyllic but we are sorry that guests pets are not allowed inside.
Owners Pets: One well behaved cat who is not allowed into guests rooms.
Guest Internet Access: Wireless Internet is available for those with laptops.
Payment acccepted: Cash. Cheque. Traveller's Cheque.
Check-In: 3:00-5:00 pm or please contact us with an alternate time. Guests are welcome to come and go as they wish once they have checked in.
Check-Out: 11:00 am please
